My First Time in Tenerife

Back in 2023 I first got the possibility to visit Tenerife (Spain), cause friends of us bought a house there.

We got invited to visit in December/January 2023, when the weather here in the UK is taking a break from happening, so we decided to take a flight and catch some sun rays in winter.

Honestly, the island is AMAZING.

The rugged north coast of Tenerife — a different kind of beautiful.

The property itself was located in the northern part of Tenerife, which is told to have more rainy and cloudy days than the south. But hey… we were okay with some clouds and a few patches of rain here and there, instead of months of rain in the UK and temperatures plunging to 5 degrees or lower, with monsoon season about to take off :)

22 degrees in winter is absolutely fine. We went hiking in the north and swimming in the south at a sandy beach called Las Teresitas, close to the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The main city in the north is Puerto de la Cruz. Both are definitely worth a visit.

You can have this climate 365 days a year — it seems never too cold and never too hot. Go, or fly, and see it yourself!
